The obvious part is, well, obvious ! From the UK an Empire Day May 24th medallion. It weighs approx 18g, dia 34mm and probably bronze.
But what is the year date ?
I have googled away but have not found one with the same engraving of mother and two children so if anyone can give me a year date I would be most grateful.

Thanks
Brian

It would help to narrow down the dates if we can figure out which king is pictured. You, JBL, have a better view of your medallion, so what do you think?

I would go for Edward VIII on the dip on the nose and the slightly shorter mouth, a little more stern looking.

Found one like it !!

So probably 1905 and Edward VII.

Indeed he looks like Edward, but come on, we are not talking about E7, he was quite old (and bearded) by the time his spot on the throne cleared for him. 1905 is out of the question!
E8, whose image this appears to be, was a king only between Jan 20 and Dec 11. 1936, which dates your medallion to a single year.

This forum must be widely read !
Since I posted the link the ebay seller has removed the 1905 date from the listing.
OK, it was late, I was tired and not thinking ... so not Edward VII..agreed.
But if it is an Edward VIII then I would have thought as it was such a short reign then all his medal issues would be well documented and easier to find.
I will keep looking.

Cheers

The seller probably removed the date because I sent him/her a message!
