I was under the impression that this coin was only obtainable from the Mint or do they classify a "counterstamp" coin differently to their initial info on this coin
" It is only available to make at our store in Canberra and bears a ‘C for Canberra' mark on it, making it a memento to keep forever,"
Of course you can only get the C for Canberra mark from their shop! I understand that it is the coin thats being pressed at the mint but took it to mean that you cant obtain the coin from anywhere but the mint regardless of any stamps or marks.

Only available at the show in Perth, but of course dealers got their allocation which I am sure you can buy now (from Prospect Stamps and Coins for example). By the way, there seems to be a few varieties of these dollars: http://www.australian-threepence.co...surface.html

Interestingly, prospect Stamps and Coins were unaware of the variety and as of yet have not received their dealer allocation. They will let me know when and if they get some.

Thanks for the link about the varities.
I bought 12 on the Saturday, 9 for other collector and 3 for me.
I just checked the 3 I still have and one has an angled P
and two have straight P, but all show signs of punch through.
