Looking for some opinions on how PCGS will grade this one out. I have a few worries that it may have been cleaned at some point in time, but I also know the TPG's are kind of lenient on this type of coin. Soooo... grade away!

Oh and as a side note, I have had this coin authenticated by 3 seperate experts in my area (Atlanta). So no worries on that front.

EF-40 details with moderate scratching...net VF-35 .value $2000...ENJOY
PCGS and NGC will encapsulate GENUINE...ANACS will grade and list damage.

If the scratching looks that bad, its unlikely that PCGS will ignore it even for a Dahlonega mint coin. The details are almost certainly stronger than XF-40 with the weak strikes that C and D mint gold receive.

I agree with shadow. It looks like there may be some remaining luster in between the stars on the obverse? If significant, I'd go AU-50 details; otherwise XF-45. The reverse scratches look bad though in the picture.

Besides all the above issues. Nice die crack running from the rim of the S to the tip of the wing.

Well I was hoping for at least au details. Guess we'll see in a few weeks what pcgs thinks. Into the raw coin at $1350 so ill be happy however it comes back lol

Harshly cleaned/damaged...will only go in a Genuine holder at best. XF details.

Agree with EF details, damaged, cleaned. PCGS will probably bag this one but GOOD LUCK!
