I have about 3 thousand wheat pennies with vedigres on them. I'm going to put them on ebay. What would they be worth? I'm talking coins from teens twenties thirties etc... Would 3 cents a piece to much?

I say you should separate it into 2 lots: The first one being 1935 -58 dates, and the second being anything older than 1935.

3 OR 4 cents for the pre-1935s
2 cents for 1935-58

How bad are they? Are there any early branch mint coins?

Some of them are really bad and some of them have a little vedigres on them. If I see vedigres on a coin no matter what yr I throw them in my vedres coins jar. I have probably more coins under the 1940s in the jar than 1950s. It just makes me sick that theres nothing that can really be done to save them. I would probably start the 1935 and up at 1.5 cents a piece then the 1935 and under 3 a piece. I just hope someone can salvage the coins that buy them. Thanks for the replys.

You should try dumping the entire mess in a large glass containter of acetone, then rinse with distilled water. Primarily do not put coins with any contaminates in a container with other contaminated coins.

Some might not agree but , white vinager will take it off or help then acetone to removethe vinager. Just a light rinse of vinager

Dip them in some white vinager take your fingers stir it around let set for 2-3 minutes pur into a strainer wash of with warm water , then put the coins in acetone let soak a few minutes then take out and dry.

id try it with just afew coins to see if it helps. Chances they are likley not vry valuable to begin with but will atleast keep from getting worse
