Morning everyone, I was wondering what your favorite coin related magazine is? There are several out there and I'm sure each one has has it's good and bad points. I'm just trying to get an overall idea of what most of you collectors like best.

Oh, I agree, I get the majority of my info from this forum actually. But, I'm looking at something to supplement this site when I'm not on the computer.

Understood! That is usually how I end up with a Coin World or Numismatic News, for example, a long flight on a plane with no internet access. Most airport magazine shops carry either or both. Back in the 1980's I had subscriptions to Coins and COINage (courtesy of my mother), but I have not looked at either one of them in 15 years or more.

I subscribe to Coin World magazine.....just 'cause I like having something "coiny" to read while I'm on my ....uhhh.....my ummmm....well.... my "perch", let's say..... Don't have a laptop to bring in there....or any of those hand-held gadgets that have the Internet. (don't think I'd WANT to bring one of those in there with me anyway ! .. I'm still old-fashioned like that......I still like to read an ACTUAL newspaper too...not "on-line" news......and I like my bathroom amenities to include "magazines"..... I don't even mind the occasional "Littleton" coin mags to read.....wouldn't ever order anything from them.....BUT THERE'S COINS IN THERE ! ....

I also subscribe to CoinWorld. And like to have something to read while not online. And I also look through the occasional Littleton mailings....but I can't say I would never order from them. Most of the US stuff is way over priced. But some of the world coins can be a great deal.

The only magazine I get on subscription is The Celator, a speciist coin magazine dealing with ancients. I used to get Coin News a UK coin magazine that comes out monthly but I stopped it. I have a large stack of these, maybe I'll put them on ebay somedayN they are mostly from the 80s and 90s. I think I even have a few Coin Monthlies from the 70s lying about too.

I grab the occasional issue of Coinage and I enjoy it, but I don't think I'll ever subscribe to it. CoinWorld is offered free at a shop I go to and I read it because it has some of the newest info, but it has way too many ads and I find that I read through it quickly and don't seem to find many articles that really interest me in there. I think I do better with coin mags when I get them on occasion rather than regularly.
