on the reverse says united state of america 2 1/2 d and the obverse it says republica argentina libertad. the obverse has a picture of liberty and the reverse an eagle in fact it is exact copy of a 2 1/2
dollar gold piece. it has a reeded edge and holed. I would appreciate any information that can give on this. it is the size of 2 1/2 gold dollar.
Thanks in Advance, Ray

I'm sure we had an old thread here on the forum where someone asked about one of these, but I can't find it right now.

Your piece isn't a real coin, as you've guessed. It would probably have been made as a "jewellery copy". As I recall the other example was showing greenish colour through the gilt surface, so it wasn't made of gold.

The thing that makes so unusual to me is that two countries are shown
on this token or medal. Has anyone seen items like this before because
I never have. Ray

I found the old thread. It's a similar piece (Argentina/USA) but an imitation $5 coin rather than a $2.50 coin.

Thanks, I appreciate that information. However, That token was for a
5d piece and the one I have is for 2 1/2d. Maybe there was a series of these. Interesting!!
