Got this heavily encrusted coin in a lot of uncleaned Romans and zapped it before I realized it was silver. Pix are pretty bad. Couldn't get the WB correct. Coin is actually more silver in color. Seems to be some sort of green encrustation on the reverse about 12 o'clock.

Quite an assessment and you may well be right. But if it is a fake, it's a fouree. It was very heavily encrusted, the kind that would take years. In any case, I don't see a modern counterfeiter going to all that trouble just to sell it in a low priced lot of uncleaned coins. Think I paid about $20 for a lot of 12 coins. The rest were all bronze.

It's not fake persay, but an unofficial issue from a roman province from about the same time period as the official issue.
