I have no idea how I came about this coin. I've had it since I was a kid. My mom and dad have no clue either.

Possibly-Old-Coin?-Please-Help-|-Naxos-Tourist-Copy
On the front is a guy with a beard, a leaf wreath around his head, and what looks to be the letters OSOL infront of his face.

On the back appears to be a horse with a bird head. Underneath the line the bird-horse is standing on seems to be a faint V with a dot above it.

It appears to be copper as I believe it is too heavy to be gold, and there is also tints of green in the crevices to suggest a bit of oxidization.

Other than that, I have no friggen clue what it is, from what time, or from where.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I know nothing of coins, but density doesn't necessarily indicate weight. Also the green tint(oxidization) lead me to copper. But, like I said, I know nothing of coins, and any help is much appreciated. Heck, even if you tell me its a fake/worthless/pile of.... well you get the point.

to the community.

It looks ancient, but it's not. This a reproduction of an ancient Greek coin. The metal is most likely brass.

Cool, kinda figured reproduction of some sort, as the details on the mans face were way too pronounced to be of any real old age. Now if I could just remember when and where I got it. lol

We just recently had an identical example of this tourist copy posted here on the forum a week ago; see this thread.
