I won these two coins at my coin club auction the other day.
Please comment on the grade and the photo if you wish.
The photos were taken with a USB camera.
Thanks, Bill

I don't know about grades for these so I wont comment on that. The pictures are okay, the light blows out some of the detail in those spots though.

lukkyseven, I'm not crazy about the photos either, I need to figure a way to defuse the light.

45-D is at least an AU-58 because of the slight rub on the arms... The P issue I can't really know because of the spots on the obverse... I think the walking liberty is a true piece of art, and these are 2 great examples of that art

What type of lighting are you using? I'm not the best, but I've learned a little since I started shooting coins.

lukkyseven, this was taken with a USB magnifier and camera. The lighting is built in. It generates a photo right into my computer.

Could you tilt the coin? Or would that really take some area's out of focus? I don't have a USB camera.

lukkyseven, I did tilt the coin some, but you still get reflection off the coin and back into the USB camera lens.
I could set up my regular camera to take the photos, but this is so easy to do, I'll keep trying until I get it right, I'll figure a way to defuse the light.

Yea I'm thinking a light box wouldn't help here. If you post in the photography section someone with a USB might help better. I think the shot's are fine, but they could be better. Pretty much can be said about everyone's here though - including mine.
