I'll try it here....thanks for the heads up bobby.

This is the reverse of a 1921P. I believe it's a D2. It has a raised horizontal bar projecting to the right of the lower tail feathers but no pitting that I could find.
There is also a crack running around the inner perimeter of the coin on the obverse.

Is anyone familiar with this.

VAM-3A. The "spike" coming off the tailfeathers is a dead giveaway. Have a look here:

http://www.coincommunity.com/us_dol...n_dollar.asp

There are three stages of this variety - 3A1, 3A2 and 3A3. The "spike" is common to all of them. 3A2 adds a small die gouge at the top of the "R," and 3A3 adds a gouge through the "L" to the previous two features:

INDEED....21's are a very hard year's to pinpoint... It really takes more time to know this year and the Mint marks, than any other year in My opinion...

I tried yesterday for a few hours to figure out what this one was...lol I was looking through partial list!
Later I posted it for some help(but in the wrong place) thedadz did see it there and said "start with 3A"...thanks kenny.....I still couldn't find it for a while but finally found the complete list after SuperDave's post.
This must be a 3A2 because the "R" is right but there is nothing by the L.

I found another 1921P at the same time. I'll try to figure out which one it is , get some pictures and post them a little later.

thanks y'all
