hello, a few months ago my grandma give this coin to me. I don't have any idea about the value of this coin. (i know nothing about coin) can some one give me some information about this coin? I think this coin have no value because it is damaged. (sorry for my bad english) thanks :D

It appears that you have a copy of a $20 Liberty Double Eagle. The design is not quite right for a genuine coin and the color looks like copper instead of gold. There also appears to be a white metal showing through the copper where it was crimped/cut. Specs for the real thing are 33.4 grams and 34 millimeters.

looks like it from the pics. doesn't hurt to take it into a coin shop and have someone look at it. With the damage I'd say it's worth Bullion value at best IF it's real. BV is what around $1360 on a double eagle

unfortunately it's quite hard to find a coin shop in Indonesia. but.. thanks for the info..

A jewelery shop could test the metal. Chances are that the damage was done in order to see if the coin was solid or plated. It does appear plated to resemble gold. A jeweler can confirm this.
