I started on my coin collecting journey in June of 2010 with Wheat pennies. My set is almost complete I need a 1909s, 1909s VDB, 1914d, 1922 no d, and finally a 1926s (which will not break the bank). I have roll searched, bought from a hoard to get me started, I also joined my local coin club and have gone to a couple of coin shows. What an amazing journey this has been. I am thing of doing 2 more wheat sets. But I also know there are so many beautiful coins out there to build my collection on I just am not sure which way to go with my collection. Maybe when the day comes that wheats are no longer from searching bank rolls I will move on to something new. I know I still have alot to learn but I think everybody learns something new everyday from all of there coin collecting peirs.

Collect what you love. In time you will grow your collection no matter if you stay with wheat or not. Don't collect things because you feel you should, collect them because you want to and love to.

Nice job Charlie! You could collect the Lincoln cents from 1959-2011. But wolverine is right...collect what you love!

wolverine's reply is the heart and soul of what this hobby is truly about...That is no easy(or inexpensive) task putting together a complete set of wheats, in any condition... Another option for your collection would be to upgrade into higher graded Wheats... I wish you luck
