@Wornslick - look at the bid history. There is a bump bidder (it doesn't show his full ebay ID) with only 4 feedback. My guess is those 4 wins are from auctions that were bumped and never bid on again so he got stuck eating the auction.

@MDH - if only all fakes were so easy to spot. I'm reporting this seller, not asking anyone else to, but I am.

Thanks lukkyseven.

The 1873 reverse doesn't look right to me.

Just for the point of learning something here, besides not buying anything from this seller, the reason I thought there was something wrong with the reverse of the 1873 was the way the tip of the olive branch was turned up. It looks different to me from the others. What did you all see that was wrong with these coins.

The 1871-CC, 1872-CC, and 1873-CC coins all came from the same rev die, and it does not match the rev used on those pieces.
Rest in Peace

Numismedia lists nine prices, which I find ineresting since there are only 4 known 73cc. If a shill doesn't get stuck, they'll go to some Clewless Gnuebee™ "investor" who doesn't know anything but how to look up prices.

One of my favorite questions comes after you tell someone they have a worthless copy: "What would it be worth if it wasn't a copy?" Right up there with "how much would my car be worth if it was a Rolls Royce?" It isn't, and I have better things to do than figure how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Lol. That's not the first question that would come to my mind. More like how do I get the seller back ;). It probably should be - how could I be so stupid!

My question is, why does ebay continue to tolerate this? Well, I know why...$$
Has anyone reported this clown?

His offerings have been pulled. Nice job someone, anyone, everyone! I'm ever amazed these people stay in business. If they'd put half their effort into something worth while, they'd probably be a success and wouldn't have to run shills like these.
