I haven't actively collected in over 20 years. I've been thinking of selling some of my coins, but I can't identify a few of them.

Here's one...
Can-You-Help-Me-Identify-This-1852-Gold-Octogonal-Coin?

I come close, but I don't think I'm right. Do you know which one it specifically is and how much it's worth? It's in good condition, the photo distortion is the package it's in, which claims it's uncirculated.

Thanks!

old school 2"x2" cardboard sealed with staples and a 0.75" plastic film window.

It only says, "1852 Calif. Gold Unc." And the coin is 3/8" in 'diameter'.

It is a copy of a California fractional gold coin. Any time you see a bear, "California Gold", or no denomination, you can consider it to be a replica and not from the Gold Rush period.

Thanks!

Do replicas have any value?

It's been 35-40 years since my dad bought five of them (different styles), but I'd be disappointed if someone sold it to him as authentic.

About 50 cents to a dollar as a novelty.
