Well if I sell my house and my car, and rob a small liquor store...

Would you really pay that much for the holder? Take a look at the note itself and decide if it is really "superb GEM".... does the centering (both face and back) warrant the grade?

The centering on the front looks perfect to me, but I do see some misalignment on the back. Probably pretty close to the 75% cutoff, no?

I tend to look at edges and corners on higher grade stuff like this, and it's extremely clean.

Am I mistaken on the centering guidelines for Gen Unc?

It's nice... but I'd rather have a double denomination!

To me, both face and back are imperfect.... for the amount of cash that the note will undoubtedly go for, I would expect it to be perfect.

I would say that the face design is cockeyed between the upper and lower border, as the back design drifts to the lower left.

Even if it was perfect, I would not pay that much for an FR-1180.... it would have to be an FR-1179 of no more than three digits in the serial number...

If I had $90K to sink into old notes (dream on), I'd buy pre-1937 Canadian.

It's a beautiful note. For this particular series and denomination this note may be as close to perfect as you'll ever see.
