I do remember someone posting a picture of a bunch of old coin wrappers they had collected.

Pretty neat stuff.

Gosh...I've got hundreds of old wrappers...but I don't collect them.

Even though I don't collect them, I have always thought the canvas bags were more interesting.

It was ME guys! I love old imprinted wrappers. I have a collection of about 20 different banks and always looking for more. Drop me an email with your address and I will send a SASE to send them in if you want to get rid of them. Someday soon I hope to get a frame for them and hang it on the wall above my coin desk.

I seem to remember that post where someone said wrappers were not collectable. LOL. We'll collect anything.

carmykle,to most people they aren't collectable, that's why I have had such a hard time finding them! I like the history behind them more than anything else. What got me started was my brother-in-law's inherited coin collection. Along with the coins, his aunt had left him ALL of her coin related stuff. Included were wrappers from several banks that no longer exist. Being the nerd that I am,I got on the internet and started plugging in names and found some really interesting stories related to historic events in America. For example, did you know that during the days of the Womens sufferage movement there was a bank in Cleveland Ohio established by a group of women to make loans available to women because many banks,at that time would only lend to men? That is the kind of stuff I am finding as I search the history of bank rolls. So,carmykle, yes it is a quirky little hobby I have and I have not found anyone else who shares It but I may become the forum expert on coin wrappers. LOL

I think they're cool too, though I don't "collect" them as such I value the ones I have. A lot of family collected coins over the years and would pass along supplies to help me with my search. SO, I've got a few. I can't bring myself to use them, but I can't figure out what to do with them... so I'll share them!

PM sent!

Many rolls of coins that have old bank rappers bring a premium price just because of the rapper. ie Wells Fargo. There is a market for anything.
