Wanting to help my grandchildren start a State Quarter collection In your opinion is it better to buy the coins in rolls or bags?

I would think rolls would be better, less chance for marks from other coins. I think it would also depend on you having less than 41 grandchildren.

Thanks Fuzzy. I am only providing help for 2 Grandchildren and they helped me sort and roll 312 lbs of pennies. My feeling was the rolls but wanted the opinion of the experts.

i would assume that rolls would be better condition because the coins are snug and not sliding around on each other.
