I have Apollo on a coin, He still flies in the traditional Greek way, just look up in the sky on a sunny day. He is shown on a stater of Philip 11 of Macedon. Mine only shows his head. I think He was chosen for the gold stater, because it reminds us of the Sun.
The REAL Apollo, I think, has had a greater effect on Man's psyche than the Greek one!

Neat! I hope there are more out there. Do you think PMD or a genuine die problem? I've not seen this identified as a variety either. But, then I haven't really been looking for them. Searching for 72 T-2s. By the way, looks like that landing wasn't the first attempt. LOL

Yes, this is a die gouge and there should be more out there. I've been doing Peace vams for 9 years and am very familiar with them.

Don't think they are, I've looked but didn't see anything. Someone with more "whiskers" than me should approach them though.
