The worst show I ever did was so bad I left after two of three days. Another dealer took one look, picked up his table tag, torn it in half, and walked out. Almost no retail business (and I talked to every dealer, for lack of anything better to do), but I talked to one dealer who said he'd do OK, even though the show sucked.

He went to the other dealers to look over their early Lincolns. He found six that he was sure were proofs, and bought them at the marked unc prices.

If someone does not collect and is not interested in the varieties that exist then those varieties have no value to that person.

For instance if I had a indian motor cycle priced at $10,000 it does not matter to me if its worth more or less , I'm not interested in it ether way and have set the value I would like to sell it for at $10,000

If its value is more and someone want to buy it and resell it then that fine. They will have to buy it and resell it to a collector THATS INTERESTED in paying more for the bike.

Same with coins someone has to KNOW and be INTERESTED in the cherrypicked coin deals then buying them to keep or find another buyer interested and reselling them.

Often times things are over priced in general. If you find a deal on something that intrest you then dont ruin it for yourself.

Knowledge is the ultimate money maker. I watched this happen a few years ago. A guy I know fell in love with a 1966 mustang he bought back in 1998 and and spent almost 20,000 restoring it to showroom condition.

I told him not to restore that 66 mustang. The cars engine was not orginal and the color was not correct for the car. But he pressed on a restored it
I tried to talk him into buying a 1964 1/2 mustang with the orginal engine and all stock chrome and body parts in nice condition I had discovered for sale hidden away in a storage shed waiting to be restored , sure it was a little " uglier " condition but being he was gonna replace everything it would not matter at the end of the restoration project.

10 yr passed he needed money as of recent. He tried to sell his 66 mustang non matching number car and got very low offers and lost lots of money .
HAD he bought the 64 1/2 matching numbers restored it and kept it orginal he would have recouped all his money invested and made a profit

but thats a lesson learned, how it relates to coins is if you dont bother researching coins know what you got
then its your own mistake
