Hello again, I have this lovely old medal but I can't seem to find out anything about it. I've seen one listed on ebay for $150+ but I think this is probably a bit optimistic.
Quote: The beginning of a long story... In 1868 the Huguenin brothers opened up a small workshop at Le Locle. Over the years the company developed and specialised in the manufacturing of medals until its centenary in 1968 when it changed its corporate name to: Huguenin Medailleurs S.A.
In 1999 a first merger took place with Kramer headquartered in Neuchätel. In 2002 Huguenin + Kramer joined with Faude, giving birth to the current company Faude & Huguenin SA.
I found this. You'll probably have to contact the shop directly for information on the medal. It probably ccommemorates some Swiss function and the Medal Maker in January 1940. I would speculate it's about the mobilization of their National Guard to protect the Homeland during WWII
By the way I don't know if the email address will be allowed.
