Hey everyone, I was coin roll hunting pennies and I came across this penny what's your thought? Sorry I could blow up the pic anymore. From careful looking I can't see this to be a die crack.

If you take a look at the spine it starts from the under the bud at the bottom. It has me stumped as to what it can be please any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That def seems to have an extra spine on the bottom and top of the bud. I just looked at a few 1972's I have and they do not have that extra raised metal. The buds on mine are clean...would be interesting to hear more about this.

looks like a bit of dirt in the die. definitely not a die crack-- it would be raised and die would not crack there.
