I was at a coin show and picked up 3 of these for 36 dollars each. The front says 1st Day - And a partridge in a pear tree. Can anyone tell me their thoughts / input / opinion? This is a first start to my collection. I'm going back tomorrow to pick up some Engelhard 1oz. It was my first time at the coin show after about 10 years. What a great time.

Thank you

Well 36 dollars each is a great price an really couldn't get any better at 38 cents over spot price as of Friday, real nice start....

Engelhard is a higher quality/higher priced silver I do believe which is always a smart buy if you can afford a bit more. Remember one day when you sell it is gonna bring a bit more as well for being high quality, and if you get into the image on the bar as I do, make sure you go with your gut and get what you really like and you can't go wrong as others told me....

I think this is 1 of 12 bars representing the 12 days of Christmas.

Heck,I remember paying 36.00 for a silver bar in the early 1980's just before the silver market crashed and thought id never see these prices again

Thank you for the responses. I realized after buying this one, that maybe I should start a Engelhard colletion as I did notice those go for a bit higher. The Engelhard 1 oz at the show yesterday were going for $38 for 1 oz. I was being stubborn over $2 bucks. :)

I appreciate everyones responses and welcome any more. Thank you.
