My 10 year old daughter saw these in one of my CoinWorld magazines and now she thinks she has to have some of them

heh never seen them before.. but wouldn't .9999 gold be incorrect due to the materials for the kitty kat?

The design wouldn't be counted for purity, as far as I know.

Maineman750, like when Wednesday asked that girl scout selling cookies, if they where made from real girl scouts, lol....

That is neat, and obviously they are trying to appeal to all genres with the images on the coins, as they should. If you can get a young kid interested early, you may have a coin collector for life....

I they had been struck in copper nickel, kids could have collected them as well!

That would be good. However I am an older person, and I think they are rather childish and numismatically frivolous.
