Can anyone tell me what these are and whether they are collectible? I appreciate any insight you can provide.

Mintage ~5.5 million. Not a scarce coin by any means.

Anything is collectible to the right individual.

I thought it was supposed to be a Six-Pence for the bride... (supposed to bring good luck for a "lasting" marriage)

Something old,
Something new,
Something borrowed,
Something blue
and a Sixpence for her shoe.

That thruppence just won't do!
(last line is my own!)

There is a gap in my trivial knowledge. I thought that little poem ended with "Something blue".

oops, I didn't look very closely. you're right, it should be a six pence, not a thrupny. I try to remember to keep a tube of them handy.
