I actually thought this was just a beat up penny for the rolls but it felt 'light' in my hand. I have another 1960 to compare it to and it is indeed thinner, slightly smaller in diameter. The denticles or long and narrow and the 'cent', '1960', and 'canada' are very thin and the edge of the coin seems sandwiched... Can anyone enlighten me on this one? Thanks for your time guys and gals! :)

Maybe was on an acid trip in the 60's would've been in it's prime then.

From measuring it is 1mm off of the standard 19.05mm diameter of the 1960 penny. I thought it may have seen acid but I cannot see an acidic solution elongating and thinning the denticles from the edge...and the mass is quite lighter than the other 1960 and some other specimens, I'll try and get it weighted this week. I am thinking foreign blank but could be wrong :)
Rest in Peace

Classic PMD caused by soaking in nitric acid. Everything become thinner, including lettering, until it becomes paper thin, and eventually dissolves.
