What Has Caused The Coloring Of These Coins?

bwiab New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 03/06/2011 7:59 pm Was going through some of my coins jars and these stood out to me as weird. Any idea on what has caused the discoloration? Some appear to be bronze like and another one is a dark red. The quarter has green and red. Any value here? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

All soaked in Acetone at the same time, in the Sun, in shade, etc. Might have been from electrical properties of dissimilar metals touching each other. Really a common situation in Instrumentation readings for temperature changes. Report this Post to the Staff
