Hi, I have recently started collecting coins. As a kid I had collected here and there and am somewhat familiar with grading but by no means someone who has much experience with the technicals. So after going through a bunch of change(over $200 worth)looking for anything out of the norm. Found ZERO pre 65 silvers(that I assumed be the outcome but fun to look anyways). Found 69-74 s-lincolns which I kept, no DDO's but still nice to have(think I'm only missing 68-s of the non proof S?) Ton of 1972's I found one DDO. It is in good condition I would say but the 9 has a dent in the top and the 72 is thick and a bit worn and overall the coin has a bit of wear. But to my suprise with a magnifying scope I notice the "IN GOD WE TRUST" all having doubled with the 2nd or outer letters of each rotated all clockwise. Wish I could post a picture to get opinions and any idea if it is worth anything. Thnx

If you have a genuine doubled die, it's definitely worth much more than you paid for it. ALL doubled dies are worth a premium regardless of whether they are in the major price guides. There is a thriving market for them too.

Definitely a cool little doubled die. It's not Die # 1 which is the one that is shown in the RedBook, it's either Die #3 or #8, I can't tell for sure from the photos. Great find!

Yeah I was looking through the varieties on the Lincoln Cent error website and thought 3 or 8 also.
