On a visit to Florida, I've brought back to "complete" my modern US 1-50 cent circulation collection by finding a 2009-P dime after 4 rolls! No silver (as expected), but it's cool to get the 2009 and a few upgrades to my P-mint dimes. All I usually get are D-mints!

But I'm sad that I bought a roll of "golden dollars" and they were all Franklin Pierce. I was hoping for a mix, but oh well...

Everyone always talks about the 2009 nickel being so rare but I have found more of them than I have 2009 dimes (I am still looking for my first 2009 dime)

Yes - I concur with your observation. And if it wasn't for a certain very generous fellow here on CCF I would still be looking for the 2009D too!

Im in tampa florida 09 dimes and nickels are pretty eazy to find both mints.

So no surprise at all you found what you needed with eaze. I have seen people on here asking about prices for the 09 nickel and dimes and repley I find them in change all the time and people seem shocked .

Florida eazy to find for some reason others seem to find them hard to get in certian areas of the u.s

I think places like cali , new york, florida big cities like houston , atlanta and so on have no problem with them ether, places with a higher population get more change delivered to the banks from the mint then say nebraska/oklahoma/northdokota do.

Literally here in the city of Tampa a bank is on every corner prob 200 banks/credit unions branch locations if not more in the tricounty area
" tampa bay " is made up of hillsborough/pinellas/manatee county area gets alot of traffic from out of staters that drop off change. Tourist come to vacation and see disney , bush gardens , the beaches and local atrractions

So far I have found all the 2010 america quarters and the 09 district quarters. I dont collect them so my nephew gets them for his books. Oh except the mariana islands distric 09 quarter I cant find that one at all.

I also find my share of S mark cents frim 68-74 here in florida, itsthe deep south but with so many transit people comming and going it makes for a interesting mix of pocket change

also helps I own a small bussiness and receive my share of change prob $120 a week

I think tourism may have something to do with it as well; people bringing in their change from other parts of the country.

yeah I have a similar bank arrangement by me, copper. there are four stretches of road, each one of which has so many banks for me to stop off at, I can literally start at 9 and end around 3 or 4.
