I will get some pictures up this weekend of course, but I just HAD to post my findings with this String & Son box of Lincolns so far. I'm only half-way right now ! 1929 S 1929 D 1929 D 1927 D 1927 1927 1927 1923 1920 D 1920 1920 1920 1919 S 1910Isn't that awesome ?.. ... For me, of course I always keep every Wheat cent, but I'm most excited by the "Pre-1930" ones....and I've never found this many roll searching one box ever before ! AND I'm ONLY HALF-WAY THROUGH THE BOX ! ..... Updates and pictures will be pending !

Great finds ... yes .. we want pics.
I would never have thought someone could find that many older wheat's in one box.
I bet you are very excited to check the rest of the box .. I hope you find a key date ... with those dates ... I would be hoping for a 31 S.

Wow! That's amazing for a bank box--I hope the second half is just as good!

Great finds Eaglefoot! I've debated switching to searching pennies or nickels for awhile as halves are quickly drying up.

I was wondering what happened to that box of coins I lost. Fantastic finds so far. Must have really hit the jackpot with this one.

Those are just a few "bad pics" of the FIRST group ! I still have 10 rolls left to go through, but I'm battling my wife for computer time, so I'm gonna list my second group of findings ! 1929 1929 1929 1927 D 1926 1926 1926 1926 D 1925So.....no "key dates" so far......but it continues to be the best box I've ever had. Once I get done with these last 10 rolls, and the wife goes to bed, I'll do a complete findings update.....and maybe try some better pictures of the better conditioned ones. WOOOOOO HOOOO ! .... (by the way.....I went back to that same bank this morning when they opened and got another box ! ) ...

Out of the last 10 rolls I pulled these..... 1929 D 1929 1927 D 1924 S 1923 1920So, by my count, that's 29 "pre-'30" Wheaties from one String & Son box ! (I will update the original list above to consolidate all of my dates found, in the morning) By the way, I did not count any "common date" Wheats that were 1930-1958.I would guess around another 10-15 or so of these "commons". '52 S & '53 S, were two of them. I don't know yet, if any of these are upgrades to either of my two albums or not, but they are all "coin-tubed" and sealed up for now ! .... Dare I hope that my second box contains more of the same ? ....
