Greetings to all.
I want to buy here this coin. Weight and diameter of a coin which were specified by the seller, coincide with the parameters specified in catalogs. Weight of 25 grams and diameter of 37 millimeters.
How you think, it is a forgery, or the original?
In advance thanks for the answer.

I'm certainly no expert, but it looks OK to me. If it is a forgery it's a very good one. If I was buying it I'd have a good look at the sellers returns policy anyway.

Looks OK to me too. I don't see uneven wear or differences in depth of coin. Is it a key/ semi-key date? In most cases, people won't go to great lengths to forge a common coin.

Does look ok, though always worth being careful, Swiss shooting Thalers are widely copied as you are no doubt aware. Take it the seller is based in Europe/North America? There is a member of this forum who specialises in shooting thalers, I forget the name - hopefully someone else will point them out shortly.

I agree this appears to be a real Thaler.

Hi there. My focus has really been shooting medals - http://coins.www.collectors-society....aspx?s=1753

But also have a set of shooting talers - http://coins.www.collectors-society...eSetID=91130

I do believe this Taler posted is genuine.
