And that is a very nice coin that many of us would like to have in our collections. Only thing I would add, if you were selling this coin on ebay, without a lot of positive feedback, you might not get as many bids as you would like. Report this Post to the Staff
Salbones New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 03/21/2011 12:44 am After considering all of your good advice, I decided to sell the coin to a reputable dealer in New Hampshire. After figuring out what it would cost to have the coin graded and then auctioned (by Heritage or even on ebay) I decided that his offer was just about what I would receive in the end anyway. I looked through the archives and other sale venues and I found that even at auction, most times, the sale price was not as much as his offer. (It was determined by the dealer to be an AU-50) Anyway, that's how it finally wrapped up. Thank you all for your help. Salbones Report this Post to the Staff

A good dealer can often pay more than you could get for a coin. There's a lot to be said for a carrel on the bashhead sale. ebay is an amazing marketplace, but you're paying a lot of money for a tiny bit of computer time. As a new seller, there will be hesitation to buy from you, resulting in low prices. If you overlook something stupid in your listing, you can lose out on a lot of bids, simply for not knowing any better. Report this Post to the Staff
