Meaning, my 10x loupe arrived in my mailbox this morning. Look out now folks, it's a miracle, I can SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I can see MM's and little stuff WOO HOO! Now to spot some goodies on my coins so I can post them. Thank you so much DVCollector. You made my day, and many more to come. Boy do I have a lot of coins to re-check! I'm totally stoked at how much effort and scanning work, therefore oodles of frustration, that this loupe will save me. Happy Dottir in Canada!

......Glad to hear that you are happy. I have 2 loupes and 4 different magnifying glasses. Now I and looking for a 10x loupe that will attach to my eye glasses. Soon I guess I will have what would be classified as a magnifier collection.

I really am so happy with the loupe. And yes, I can see where in future I'll want more and different magnifiers etc. I would like an even stronger bigger one next time I'm able to get one. Different strengths etc for different uses.

When I first started collecting I mentioned needing to get some form of magnification. A guy at work overheard me and told me about a setup that he had that allowed you to plug it right into the computer and see it "live" on the monitor. Sounded perfect.
He offered to let me borrow it to see if I liked it and then could get my own. To my surprise, the next day he brought in a pair of binoculars!
Have you ever tried looking for a doubled die on a coin with binoculars?

Quote: Have you ever tried looking for a doubled die on a coin with binoculars? Sounds simple enough. Stand them up along the outside wall of your house, go two blocks away, and hope nobody runs off with them while you are trying to zero in on them with the binoculars.

By the way, MODERATOR or ADMIN - Thank you for shifting my post. I wasn't sure where to post but I guess it makes sense in General as its was more about tools than social talk. I'll learn yet. I hope

Next you will need an electron microscope with the 50,000X ability. You should see how the dates look with them.
