Several months ago I purchased a Lincoln Dansco (1909-present), but without proofs. I wanted to add a page or two for proofs. It looks as though one extra page may fit, but two is questionable. Has anyone ever added one or more pages to their Lincoln Dansco?

Not meaning to brag but I can put almost 10 pages in my Whitman Classic Album for Lincoln Cents. 9 pages easily and really pushing it, 10. I recently had a Dansco for Lincoln cents and gave it away since it could only hold about 7 pages. With the addtional pages in my Whitman Album I have easily been able to put all 20 of the 2009's in there. And too there are slots for the 55 and 72 and 95 Double Dies and all proofs. That is one of the things about Dansco Albums I don't like. Same with many of their Albums. No room for expansion.
Not sure about other Dansco Albums but possibly the latest ones are different. With all the Dansco people out there we should be getting a lot of replys.

Depends on the width, my #1 lincoln Dansco holds 9 pages, the #2 holds 8...they are both #7100

My 7100 has eight pages in it now. It could probably hold nine, but it probably would not be able to close flat.

I ended up buying a Dansco 7107 (Cents) album to hold the proofs. I just finished it up with a HA buy so it contains em all (1936-2011) with plenty of room for more if I live long enough. I'm passing on the early, early teen ones - just went 1936 Type 2 (Brilliant) to date... Love the early ones!

Curious. Does that one allow for all proofs, the odd ball ones like the 55, 72 and 95 double dies, all the 60's, all the 70's, all the 82's and all the 2009's?

My 7100 was an oddball to begin with...

I got it in 1985 and it was pre-dated to 1987-S. Yes, 1987-S. I believe it was actually made around 1980 or 1981 because the mintage info on the first page only went to 1979 (the binder was replaced in 1996).

Remember, there were circulation strikes in San Francisco until 1974 and Dansco is known for two things: pre-dating holes well into the future and failing to correct mistakes for several years. It is quite conceivable that they thought San Francisco would continue to mint cents for circulation.

If you are keeping track, my album came with seven pages. Since I had the holes for 1975-S to 1987-S, I opted to put my proofs in there (the 1968-S to 1974-S proofs are in another album; the extra holes on the second page of my custom Indian-Buffalo-Mercury album). I would continue the trend in the undated holes (mirroring the layout of the 8100).

When it came time to add the eighth page, I decided to use one from the 8100 (since I was already lined up correctly). I also bought a replacement seventh page from the 8100. (There is an interim configuration in there, but it is not worth mentioning).

So, in the end, my 7100 has been converted to an 8100. It goes to 2007-S, so my 2008 coins are in the IBM album with the 1968-1974 proofs. 2009 is special and 2010 is a new series, so they start a new album.

And to answer the other question... no holes for doubled-dies, but holes for the 1960-P/D SD/LD, 1970-S SD/LD, and all eight 1982 varieties.

jbuck, your doing what I do and just making your own Albums. That is where one of the funs of coin collecting really gets going. Making your own thing. Same reason I have Albums like Liberty Head/Indian Head/Jefferson Nickels. Or my Liberty Head/Mercury Head/Roosevelt Dime Album.

Yes, these albums are more flexible than most give credit.
