Metal Detector Dealer Needed In PA Or Northern MD

mdh157 Pillar of the Community United States 953 Posts	Posted 03/09/2011 6:28 pm I am in the mkt for a new detector and would like to try out several different brands before I make a decision. does anyone know of a dealer within 2 hours of the harrisburg, PA area (abt 2 hrs north of baltimore)? We visited a couple weeks ago and came upon the shop by accident. It may have been called Gettysburg Electronics. An older man ran the shop and he was very helpful. He had many models and brands available. He talked to my husband for about half hour about the different features etc. Hope this helps. Report this Post to the Staff

I just looked it up and found out the owner we spoke with also helps out with solving crime/murders. He just was presented with an award in Feb for helping to solve a murder in November. He has a website that lists the brands he carries, which looks to be all of the major brands. will keep ya posted. i'd love to go nosing around the battlefields with a machine......me and a million other people! mdh157 Pillar of the Community United States 953 Posts	Posted 04/22/2011 9:07 pm Hey guys, I just went down today and pucked up my machine from Gettysburg electronics. I went in there abt a week and a half ago and looked at a few...was kind of pressed for time so I didn't try out all of them, just stayed around my initial price range, which kept me out of trouble if you know what I mean. Anyway, he had a slightly used (told me it was out only 1 or 2 times) Garrett GTP 1350, and the only reason I knew it was used is because he told me...no sign of wear at all. I didn't intend at first to buy a used machine but he gave me a deal I couldn't refuse, so I bought it. Hopefully I'll get some good use out of it this summer. And hopefully i'll like it as much as my GTA. Thanks to all who comments on this thread and the other one where I asked for recommendations.....I handled every machine that was mentioned specifically by a forum member beforei made my final choice.
