It was a bright sunny morning, and all through the apartment,
not a creature was sturring now even the baby,
my clothes were laid out, on the floor with good care,
in hopes that my body would soon come to wear,
I arose with a grumble, get the baby she said,
as I sat there scratching, on the edge of the bed.
Today was the day..a day of great joy,
as soon I would have, a new shiney toy.
The clock struck noon no bell to be heard,
atleast it doesn't have one of those annoying birds..
We loaded the car, baby in tow,
my wife just couldnt get over how my face was aglow.
We drovfoe and we drove, turned left and turned right,
and all of a sudden, day turned to night!
The sky started crying, but only a bit,
mabye there was chance? I just got my kit!
Back home we flew, with a left and a right,
it started to pour, I was losing the fight.
I assembled the 250, with speed and with care,
turned on the weather channel and to my dispair,
showers all night with no chance of clearing,
the baby kept screaming, I was losing all hearing.
Disappointed I was, Ace250 in hand,
and what more could add to this desolate land?
but a double..no triple shift yet to be had.
o woe is me, I long to be glad..

basically,

got the new detector today, a nice Garret Ace250, on the way to ok johns, it started to spit, I thought nothing of it but when we got home it was raining pretty bad. So I knew I wasn't getting out today or tomorrow because I work 11pm-7am tonight, sleep for 5 hours, then work 2pm - 10pm, go home change, and then 11pm-7am again..no detecting till saturday.. :(

Congrats on getting your new toy! Be patient, grasshopper, the season is still young. On rainy days, watch some of those md videos I linked to you. That'll whet your appetite!

Check your email, I'll send you a couple of good links re: how to use your machine.

I use an Ace and on damp days I just wrap the controls with a plastic bag and electrical tape then put on a rain jacket and out I go.

Figures right? Don't worry, you'll be digging up coins and what not before too long.
