I called my local coin dealer and told him that I was interested in investing, and currently looking for american gold eagles, and/or double eagles to get some price ranges. But also told him that silver eagles where a possibility.

He told me they had rolls of every year since their inception, and that he sells them a dollar above spot per coin X20.

I am still new to silver and curious on yalls thoughts. I am interested in getting this. But part of my wants to wait to the struggle in libya eases off, and hopefully silver drops again.

I always love from hearing from other people!

really? I will have to give a call back to them. I'm at college and they are back home. What about years, any preference? I was gonna grab a roll of 1987's, just because thats the year I was born, haha

Thanks!

The key year is 1996 but I doubt he is going to sell you a roll of 1996 eagles for 1 over spot. If you spot them at that price buy it and flip it on ebay :D But just get rolls of years you like. 1 over spot is an amazingly good price to pass up.

Woo, unfortunately ill have to wait a couple of weeks before I'm back at home before I can give him a call...

im only planning on getting one. But I might get two, worst case scenario I could see if I could sell the other for a higher price on ebay or something.

Thanks for the info! Now I just got to wait till I can run home, I really hope silver comes down a few nothces until then, but I doubt it will :(

A dollar over spot is a fantastic price for these. They are currently selling on ebay for $40-$45 a piece (plus shipping).

cwb is right.

at a dollar over spot, they're really underselling. get them. at the very worst you could immediately put them on ebay and make a couple hundred bucks.

right now, even with spot around 35.00 they're selling on ebay for 40-42
Rest in Peace
