My Net was 86.9% of the spot price.
The fees really kill you!

I sold on 8 consecutive days mostly 1930's/40's'50's dates (I wanted to sell all my worn quarters. (They were checked, no key dates). I am still very bullish silver and am buying back 1960's dated quarters. (When stacked there is about a 1/4- 1/2 inch more silver in 1960's!)

Here are the results (all the average per roll)
Ave price of silver per roll $254.53
Ave price realized (incl s/h) $256.56
ebay fee ($23.09)
Paypale Fee ($7.74)
Postage ($2.76)
Net per roll $222.97
Pct of Silver value 86.91%

So on ebay, you can expect to buy silver quarter rolls at a little over silver value and sell at a 13% loss

You can post a lil more here and once you reach 250, you have access to the BST forum.

at least you can cut out some of the fees.

Of course, that's assuming you bought and sold at the same spot price. If these were rolls you bought when spot was $25/oz, then you are just netting 13% below current spot, not a 13% loss.

that stinks! I wished they allowed money orders instead of paypal which allows ebay to collect even more money!

lol No these quarters were acquired at $.25 a piece by Grandmother, and other relatives. So the % increase per piece is quite high! Sold at $222.97 "acquired" at $10 is a 2229.7% increase. Cheers
