Howdy ya all!

Been lurking around for several months now, and finally decided to come in from the cold.
I got this coin as a free-bee when I bought a Constantius II "fallen horseman" coin on another forum. I've been having a hard time identifying it and thought maybe one of the more knowledgeable members here would be able to help out. Don't know the weight, but it's about the size of a dime or penny.

Can't say for sure just who the emperor on the obverse is, but the reverse depicts a Victory advancing left. The mint appears to be either Heraclea or Thessalonica. It is hard to say due to damage around the edges of the coin, and the inevitable wear it endured over the millennium.

I imagine someone else will be able to give you more precise feedback than mine.

Your coin appears either to be the emperor Valens or Valentinian, not enough of the inscription visible but I'm leaning more to Valens.

Thanks! Looking on line I would agree that it's Valens, though I'm still curious what is in the left field. Looks like an omega symbol. Here are a couple other pictures used a side light to highlight it more.

It could be, but I think that it is more likely a wreath. I know of a few examples that had wreathes in the left field. And I also think that it is most likely a Valens, now that I look at it more closely.
