I'm pretty sure this has a die crack (though I am new at this game so please correct me if I'm wrong) but I'm not sure if there is something else amiss with this nickel. After looking at numerous other pics and comments/descriptions I think it might be die clash, but as I said before I am too new to be sure. Please advise. The crack is self evident, but the 'clash' (or not) is an arrow looking mark above the year pointing toward the hair and then above the hair is another arrow looking mark mirroring the aforementioned mark. Thoughts?

That's a prominent example of a die crack error. Die clashes on copper-nickel Three Cent pieces are fairly common occurances from what this oldtimer has seen over the years; more so during the earlier years of this series though. This is a good study coin.

ExoGuy's observations are pretty much on target with those of these old eyes, too, as regards that "clash." As regards that crack, that is a huge one. Those are the more common on that heavily-minted first date, though, and up through the 1970, basically, from what I know.
