I just picked this one up this afternoon. I am sort of leery buying a coin like I did this one. I like to have a few days to check out a buy like this one, but I this was more like do you want it and worked out a price. I hope I did okay. Funny after I saw the pics I had to look at the coin again, I see more in the pics the just holding the coin in your hand. Please let me know what you think the grade is and maybe what a good price should be.

Looks like a VF 35 to me. My guess about the value is around $100.

Nice Lincoln. It's right in the VF-35/EF-40 ballpark, looks to me. The only thing it's missing is the VDB on the back.

Very attractive key date! VF30 would be the conservative grade and what looks like an old scratch from Lincoln's ear to forehead would probably keep it thereabouts.

Thanks for the replies.
I bought this for $125, right between F and VF on greysheet. He started out at $175, I pointed out couple of the older hits and he made the $125 offer.
With a coin like this, I worry about it being fake. The "S" looked good to me, just like the one on the S vdb I bought last week.

You did very well for $125. Looks authentic to me. Nothing is jumping out at me to make me think otherwise.

I definitely like the price, you did good. VF 30 at minimum IMO

Again, thanks for the responses.
I just popped it into the Dansco, I really like how it looks there.
Just two more empty holes, 1914 D and the 1922 no D.

Easy VF35, I might go EF40. 1909-S's can be tough to accurately grade, I have a slabbed MS-62 that people guessed it would grade VF to MS-63. LOL
You got a GREAT deal at $125! I would have paid $150-$200 for that coin raw.

You did really well buying it for $125 and grading it F/VF was very conservative. It's VF+ for sure. Don't worry about an added mintmark here, if it was 1909VDB then we'd really want to scrutinize the S but you are fine.
