I believe this 1976 P LMC is a 1976P-1DO-001 on coppercoins.com. What do you think of the diagnosis?

The only marker listed other than the doubling is NE-SW die scratches in bays 1 & 2. This has no die polishing evident, so it's probable an earlier die state.

Hi,

I lightened the image of the date. Although your coin is worn, the "footprint" of the date on your coin appears to be close to the DDO.

This is your image lightened. I can't confirm it but it is possible.

I have trouble with the "extra thick" DDO's. The extra weight at the bottom of the you looks good.

Hi Matt. Class VI DDOs are a tough call. Your 9 looks promising for one, though. I'd suggest you register on CONECA (it's free), post it, and inquire over there. Even if they can't attribute it, as such, I'd keep it.
