Greetings. I just got this bill, so I'm looking to see what the value might be. Many thanks in advance for your constructive advice...

It's a $1 bill 2003-A series (L90102048N). The "green" printing is normal in every way as far as I can tell. Also, there are no tears, etc., and the wear is what you would expect for a bill that old. What's wrong, it that the SF "L" proof mark is wildly off the mark. In fact, it's totally on the wrong side of Washington's portrait, resting exactly between that portrait and the bright green Treasury seal, touching both of them with the black spikey outer ridge of the proof mark.

Sorry, but I don't have a scan just yet. I'm sure I haven't hit the lottery, lol, but any basic advice of other information would be greatly appreciated.

to the forum. We are naturally going to want a picture before we could give an accurate opinion.
Rest in Peace

I thot both seals were printed at the same time..sounds like an impressive error, but as nickelman says, pix needed when you can.

this type of "error" has been shown here before. it is not possible for this to happen in the printing press. the BEP prints the fed. reserve seal, serial numbers, and the us treasury seal ALL at the same time. Someone moved the seal from one end of the bill to the other. they were probably showing a magic trick, trying to make people fall for it being an "error," ect.

there are about 50 different methods to do this, using an eraser, chemicals, your printer, ect.

so....

Its Post Mint Damage- PMD
