I have just purchased and cracked open the Proof and Silver ATB Quarters to put in my Dansco.

I note there is little or no difference between the two. I'm advised that one might be able to tell the difference by looking at the rims to determine a difference in colour. Is that all there is? Both have a 'S' mintmark. Is there a difference (however slight) in lettering?

The clad versions should have a ring of copper around the rim on the edge on the coin. The lettering should not be different but the silver proofs often have better and brighter luster than the clad versions.
