Hope he turns you down.
It's really hard to say without seeing what he has. You have to assume the Merc's at melt ($85-90'ish). Nickels circulated and maybe 2-3x(?) face ($($12-15) Wheats and coppers at 3-4 cents each ($10-20?). He should just give you the books.
Until proven that something is high grade or variety, you have to assume the worst. I don't see more than about $120 tops that I would give sight unseen.
Just another "opinion".

Are the halves included? If so it's a steal at $200. If not it's a gamble on the nickels and cents to make up the rest of the $200 after the Mercurys.

I hate craigslist for coins... For me it has gone 3 ways. They don't list a price than you email and they want some crazy number for their coins, it is an unbelievable deal and you contact them they email you back and confirm they are still avaiable and then you never hear from them again, or it is some great deal you show up to look at the coins and it looks horrible compared to their pictures and you wasted time and gas to meet them.

I've got rid of a lot of stuff on Craigs list (not coins) and like it but you really have to be careful it's full of weirdo's and criminals
