from the pic, I can't see positive evidence of cleaning. But, the little piece of crud in the "A" makes one wonder why the rest of it isn't equally cruddy, which in turn leads one to wonder if it has been partially cleaned ... a new grading springs to mind: "Cleaned, but not well-cleaned"
Bump...this thread,.... whats with the crowns trout? who,s are they, link,!,. Are they yours? are you buying them? or just seeking opinions.LOL More info, so we can assist and make further comment.
I am part of a Bullion forum also and there is a trend there to clean these, they use Cloudy Ammonia and BiCarb they come up much brighter than these and do look quite stunning so be aware a lot of these and round 66's ARE being cleaned.
Hi Blinky, yes they are my crowns, I dumped the dodgy one on ebay with a description that it had been cleaned. I still did better than melt on it even asking if the buyer wanted to realy do the deal as it had been cleaned. The buyer must have needed a gap filler
Hi trout as I said nice crowns there.Nothing wrong with selling a cleaned coin as long as its mentioned in the sales description.imo. Im sure the buyer is happy with their purchase.Everybody wins?
