Hello and welcome. Sorry for the delayed reply; I got distracted and hoped someone else would post.

Your coins are not obvious fantasies, and they're not super-rare types (In the Krause catalogue they're listed as Republic KM/Y 329, Chihli KM/Y 73.4 and Empire KM/Y 14). But that might just mean they they're better-quality fakes. Check the weights, first.

The middle one looks the most suspicious to me, with the yellowish colouration and dodgy-looking toning combining with it being apparently the scarcest variety of this type (crosslet 4). A close-up pic of the "4" in "34th" might confirm that, though weigh them first.

Forgot to mention, an even quicker test is to try a magnet. Many of the cheaper CHinese fake "silver" dolalrs are made of cheap steel. If they stick to a magnet, don;t bother with any further testing - they're fake. If they don't stick, then they might be real - then weigh them.

I got an issue with all three - these are heavily counterfeited and unfortunately with the new super counterfeits that's coming out in the market, it's not that difficult to counterfeit them in silver. Current Chinese coin market is way too hot that I can't see what's going on at the moment.

I agree in general with the comments posted to date. None of the three is a fantasy nor do the first and the third look bad. The second coin is suspicious because of the toning patterns BUT it could still be real. Forgers do in fact copy common silver coins so NOTHING is safe from forgery.

Check the weight - loss of 1-2 grams is TOO MUCH for dollar sized silver coins.

Check for magnetism - silver is NOT magnetic but nickel is.

Check the edge for the: (all covered in other posts)
Proper design
No reeding overlaps on the Fat Man (or any collared strike)
No traces of ring die application of reeds

Look at the face designs and check for mint luster and metal flow.

Look for signs of casting and transfer techniques. See other forum questions on this subject.

Check the SG to make sure the density is near 10.3.

swamperbob, I'll be dead honest - with the new super counterfeits that are coming out in the market, weight test, SG test go straight out of the window as they both pass the test. I have two Chinese crown size coins and those are the horror super counterfeits that will be coming soon. These dies are hand engraved and it was only the minor details that gave them away - could have been discarded as varities if one isn't knowledgeable about this field.

Reason why I am suspicious is the following:

1) the lustre is not right. It looks freshly struck but it just doesn't look right. It matches with the lot of counterfeits that I have been seeing.
2 & 3) In those conditions, you are easily talking about 500-800+ dollars for EACH of them! Unless you are insane lucky and bought them cheap and they are genuine, good on you! But chances are, it's not going to happen that easily.

First do the weight test and let us know nuno.
