I was playing with the camera tonight and by accident the light caught some lines I never noticed before. They are diagonal lines looking almost like a fingerprint on the neck and running up thru the ear. I first thought it was a camera effect, but I got out the old Magnifying light and found these same lines on a lot of the coins in the roll. Are these polishing marks?

It almost looks like reduction lathe marks that have not been polished off a master die. However, having said that, they seem to be in the wrong area. Reduction lathe marks are circular marks that appear to get smaller towards the center and your picture shows marks that are near the center, but are not small circles. Since you have found more than one in a roll, it is definitely die related and more than likely polishing marks.
