I'm sure if you post this on ebay you will find someone willing to pay some money, probably around $10 for it. Search finished auctions for Magician's coins.

Unfortunately these are both tails, so you can't determine what years they were minted....

You have half of a trick coin. notice the diameter of the cent side. the other half is cent obverse, drilled out on its reverse side. The part above is shown on both sides, then you put the dime side first into the drilled out obverse. You end up with the two sides of the cent showing, and the dime has disappeared.

the rim nicks are where this part has been pried out of the other half.

see scotch and soda on ebay or a magic can shop, for my favorite close up coin trick of all time.

Hi,

Biggfredd is right on the money:-)

That piece is an insert that would have fit into a "shell" made with the obverse of a cent. It would look like a normal cent with the insert turned one way. And...it would look like a dime with the insert turned the other way. Of course the "Magician" would only allow you to view the dime side to complete the illusion of the cent turning into a dime.

So this is one part of a Magician's coin.

Have Fun,
Bill
