Both of the sides on the bottom flatten out and at the very bottom it rounds of again. Very hard to get a good picture. Is this considered a clip?

That is damage. Someone dropped that coin or slam dunked sometime during it's life. Incomplete planchets are weak next to devices where the rim is missing. On your coin the rim is still there.
Is-This-A-Clip-Of-Some-Sort?
