I know the picts could be better but our best camera is not here. I Think one is from Iran? Not so sure what the other is though.

Your lion-and-sun coin is indeed from pre-Revolutionary Iran. The denomination will be on the other side.

Your second piece is not a coin, but a Nuremberg rechenpfennig, or jeton. See this UKDFD page for info and basic type and issuer ID.

Obv. Winged Lion of St. Mark, holding Book of Gospels in forepaw
Rev. Imperial orb within a tressure of three arches and three angle
Not sure if it's worth anything but it's neat and old. Thanks so much! And I did try and get a obverse of the Iran coin I just could not get a clear pict. Is it silver by the way?
